Our Exclusive Interview With SVAKOM: The Brand, Products And People Behind Them
After more than 35 years in the adult industry, I’ve seen plenty of brands make big promises and quietly vanish a few years later. SVAKOM has managed to stick around by putting real effort into product design, technology and making adult toys feel less intimidating.
This article was first published in 2024 alongside our SVAKOM Sam Neo giveaway. That giveaway has now finished, but the interview still gives a useful look at how SVAKOM started, what shaped its products and where its ideas came from.
We’ve also updated the article with the current SVAKOM Klitty giveaway. Yes, the name may earn a second glance, but at least nobody can accuse SVAKOM of being vague about what the product is designed for.

About SVAKOM
David Yu founded SVAKOM in 2012 after seeing room for adult products that combined good design, useful technology and more reasonable prices. The name SVAKOM means “everyone” in several Slavic languages, reflecting the company’s focus on people with different bodies, preferences and needs.
The brand has since grown well beyond its early range. SVAKOM products are now sold in more than 70 countries and include vibrators, clitoral stimulators, Kegel balls, prostate massagers and app-connected toys.

SVAKOM’s work outside product design has included:
- Sexual education and detailed product information
- Product testing events and customer feedback programs
- Its “F**k Taboo” campaign promoting more open conversations about pleasure
- Support for causes connected with Movember, HIV and AIDS awareness, and breast cancer awareness

Awards and clever features can tell us part of the story, but product safety, comfort and real-world use matter more. That brings us to our original interview with SVAKOM.
Interview With SVAKOM
Enjoy this exclusive interview. I promise you’ll find something fascinating and inspiring.
What was the initial inspiration behind founding SVAKOM, and how did the idea first come about?
SVAKOM was founded in 2012 and at that time, the adult product market in general needed more high-quality designs and creations aimed at enhancing sexual pleasure and wellness. For most consumers, adult products were just a sex tool.
Although some brands were making high-quality products, innovation was lacking in certain areas and prices were often too high for the average consumer. David wanted to change the game. So, he came up with the idea of creating SVAKOM as a brand to provide high-quality, technologically innovative and cost-effective adult products for global users to enjoy as part of a sexually healthy lifestyle. SVAKOM actually means ‘everyone’ in several Slavic languages.
What challenges did SVAKOM face during its early development stages, and how were they overcome?
The first was design. Back then, designers in this industry didn’t have much experience in trying products. Even if their design looked good, it was difficult to ensure it would be pleasurable to use. The second challenge was the supply chain, mainly at the production stage. For example, our first product the Siime Eye vibrator, which has a wireless internal camera at the insertable end, was ground-breaking for the industry.
It takes a lot of time and energy to select suitable suppliers to jointly develop this type of product. The third challenge related to marketing and talent. When the brand first started, it was difficult to attract top people to the company for the common goal of development and promotion.
How did we overcome the challenges?
First, in terms of design, we referred to existing products in the market, studied pain points and tackled these issues while also introducing a new special feature, which we did with Siime Eye. This innovative approach remains with us.
Second, we committed to using high-quality and cost-effective materials as much as possible, and conducting research, development and testing. For example, to make our Siime Eye lens we used waterproof and high-definition materials because to ensure it was suitable for use inside the person’s body.
Finally, in terms of marketing and getting experts on board in the early stage of the brand, we boldly used overseas talent with solid industry backgrounds as our consultants. We built a global marketing and branding system exclusively for SVAKOM on this basis.
What was the first product SVAKOM launched?
Siime Eye was our first product and immediately very popular. Once launched, it received enthusiastic feedback and popularity across the market and all platforms.
What are some proud moments or achievements in SVAKOM history that stand out to you?
There are many impressive moments. For example, in 2017 SVAKOM was invited to attend the Oscars, Emmy Awards and American Music Awards star meetings. Since being founded in 2012 we have won multiple different awards at major platforms every year. We’ve already had several wins in 2024, including at the recent EroSpain Awards where our Pulse Galaxie clitoral stimulator was named Product of the Year.
This sex toy projects a starlight display in your room and is so discreet it looks like homeware. It’s also app-controlled so you can customize the settings and use it to interact with a long-distance partner. At the same show, SVAKOM was also honoured as Company of the Year.
What new features or technologies can we expect from SVAKOM in the near future?
Keep your eyes on the Pulse Series, which uses SVAKOM’s patented Pulse Technology to provide suction-like stimulation.
SVAKOM was also preparing upgrades to the Sam Neo, including the Sam Neo 2 and heated Sam Neo 2 Pro. These models added wider support for apps and interactive platforms.
How does SVAKOM ensure that products cater to a diverse range of preferences and needs?
We highly value consumer research and have held countless tester parties and our famous ‘F**k Taboo’ events and in China other countries. Our sales staff in the market worldwide also conduct research and obtain feedback through exhibitions and store visits. All feedback is forwarded to our R&D team. Based on needs, desires and results, we conduct R&D projects, design, create and continuously manufacture products that make sexual pleasure and wellness accessible to more people.
What are some of the best-selling designs in the SVAKOM toy lineup, and what inspired them?
Cici is a timeless, classic product. This very thin vibrator was inspired by David’s first three experiences of participating in EroFame, a B2B trade show in Germany. Each year, a different woman said that she liked our Adonis rabbit vibrator very much and was satisfied by the clitoral stimulator alone. It seemed the insertable shaft wasn’t as important for them. This triggered David’s thinking. After returning to the office, David designed a new vibrator based on Adonis’ clitoral stimulator. He turned its ‘bunny ear’ into a unique and slender vibrator of its own and Cici was born!
This vibrator resembles a curved finger and is ideally shaped for reaching the G-spot or stimulating external pleasure zones on bodies of any gender. It’s helped many users resume sexual activity after sexual trauma or enhance their treatment plan for certain medical conditions such as vaginismus, in somewhat unexpected surprises for our brand. As for the birth of recent Pulse Galaxie, that was largely about helping users create sensual environments. We developed the idea of a clitoral suction stimulator with a starlight projector built into its charging dock by combining our romantic imagination with the desire for a relaxing atmosphere whether solo or partnered.
How does SVAKOM ensure its toys are discreet in terms of noise level and design?
We value user experiences and recognise the importance for discreet toys. In order to control noise, we use specially customised motors and product structures. We aim to design stylish products in premium materials that are not overtly sexual in appearance and come with discreet storage pouches. Our masturbators are often confused for large drink flasks!
Can you tell us about one of the latest toys released by SVAKOM?
One of SVAKOM’s newer releases is the Klitty, a compact clitoral stimulator that combines a moving tongue, suction and vibration.
It provides 10 licking modes and three suction intensities, with extra control available through the SVAKOM app. Its playful cat-inspired shape also makes it look less clinical than many clitoral toys.
The Klitty is the prize in our current giveaway, and we have also put it through its paces in a separate hands-on review.
