The Legacy of the Gay Exchange – PJ Weir Gay Activist

The Gay Exchange was more than just Sydney’s first all-gay adult store—it was a safe space, an educational hub, and a cultural landmark for the LGBTQ+ community. In 2017, the Gay Exchange was forced to close when the building was acquired by the State Transit Authority to make way for Sydney’s new rail development.
