That feeling of getting caught in the act is a real turn on for some people. There are so many ways to get a thrill by using sex toys or having fun sex in public.
When I get couples who come in wanting to spice up their sex life, I often see them reaching typically for toys they can only use in the bedroom. OR that they are intending to only use in the bedroom.
I love to point out to people sex toys that can be used discreetly in public places like when out on date night, out shopping or even when at work.
I’ve listed below some of my favourite ‘discreet in use’ sex toys for having fun sex in public
But most importantly, sex toys you can use whilst doing other things.
So why not spice up date night or doing the house work? These ideas are intended to inspire people to think outside of the box and take their sexual desires outside of the bedroom!

Sex Toys for Fun Sex
1. Remote Control Sex Toys
These are a great way to take play outside of the bedroom.
Anything that is remote control automatically becomes a public sex game. How high can they turn it up without you going insane? Below is a list of my favourite remote control sex toys for making public sex fun.
- We Vibe is the perfect discreet toy to wear outside in the open. It is designed for comfortable wear and can be worn for long periods of time. Not only does it have a remote. But it has a phone app which can control the toy from anywhere in the world.
- Luv ‘n’ Fun kegel exercisers are vibrating and come with remotes. Whilst they don’t have an app, the remote is super good and can change the functions on the toy for up to 100m away. Which is pretty damn good!
- LELO has many toys designed to be worn discreetly, including the IDA and Tiani which are of similar shape to the We Vibe.
2. Cock Rings
A great way for guys to experience sexual vibrating sensations in public discreetly also. Many males enjoy vibrations, so why miss out on all the fun and grab a vibrating cock ring to take out to dinner!
3. Kegel Exercisers
Not only are they great for your pelvic floor, many women find them stimulating. Most kegel exercisers do not vibrate and only rely on the ball itself to stimulate. Making them incredibly discreet!
So go out for the day wearing your kegel exercisers for some of the most mischievous exercise you’ve ever done in public.
4. Stimulating Gel
Another great way to discreetly stimulate yourself in public.
My favourite is the Wildfire IT cooling gel. Pop this on in a bathroom or before you leave the house and within minutes you’ll be quivering, and not from the cold!
5. Butt Plugs
A great way for both men and women to discreetly wear sex toys out in public.
Butt plugs can be vibrating or non vibrating and are extremely arousing to a lot of people. A right shaped plug could have you right on the verge of orgasm for hours
Though, bear in mind, the anus isn’t self lubricating so lube should be reapplied every 30 minutes or so for ultimate comfort.
6. Nipple Clamps
A great way to start your own dirty little secret! Again, both vibrating and non vibrating and a super discreet way to stimulate the nipples for making public sex fun.
7. Strap on Harnesses and Packing
Packing or wearing a harness with a flexible dildo is a great way to continue your strap on play outside of the bedroom. Why not wear your strap on underneath your jeans?
Surprise your partner by pulling them into a bathroom or secluded area with your favourite dildo?
A best way for making public sex fun to work is by using a flexible dildo which can bend without ruining the dildo. Or sit in a different position to be hidden underneath clothes.
Sex Is Fun!
It’s pleasurable. We do it with ourselves and others because we want to and we enjoy it. It feels good.
But what happens when you’re not enjoying it?
What happens when your sex drive seems to have taken a nose dive and something that you once enjoyed has become a bit of chore?
With Valentines Day coming up, we’re going to go through a few reasons as to why you might not be enjoying sex.
And how you can navigate through them. I’m going to say navigate through them.
You’re not Broken
When it comes to a lower sex drive, or when you’re not enjoying sex as much as you think you should be, there are actually a variety of reasons that can be present here.
None of them imply brokenness.
The truth of the matter is that your sex drive is determined by a variety of factors. It’s in a continual state of change depending on what is going on in your life and surroundings
As well as your physical and mental health.
Regardless of whether your sexual dissatisfaction is long term, or short term its important to remember that your perfectly normal.
Lets go through some reasons as to why you might not be enjoying sex.
Note: This article contains information that may be triggering to those who have experienced sexual trauma or assault
You’re engaging or being engaged in sexual activity before you’ve had time to become aroused. Perhaps some sex secrets unveiled has turned you on.
Your mind and body may move at different speeds when it comes to becoming aroused, and the preparation of your mind and body is paramount to enjoyment.
Foreplay is an activity that is designed to get the blood flowing throughout the body and in particular to the genitals.
This blood flow increases arousal, and helps with lubrication, as well as the ability to climax during sexual activity. The issue here is something i’ve discussed in previous articles.
Many people equate the idea that sex equals intercourse.
Foreplay is just as much sex and intimacy as intercourse, and it helps in taking the pressure off the idea that there’s only one outcome to sex, penetration/intercourse.
It does not have to lead to this. When you remember this, and acknowledge that, you may find yourself able to free your mind up and enjoy foreplay and the pleasure that that brings.
You’re not mentally or emotionally ready to have sex.
Sex and enjoyment is about context. If you’re stressed or anxious and a partner attempts to initiate sex – in most cases you will not be able to access the feelings of desire, and pleasure easily.
For this reason it’s important to communicate how you’re feeling to your partner. Some people find sex and pleasure as a way of coping with stress, anxiety.
Moving past the day to day stresses of life, others might have trouble navigating through this.
Anxiety about your body or appearance.
Sex feels good but it is incredibly vulnerable. You’re naked, with a sexual partner, and during that moment your insecurities might rear their head.
Anxiety about your body appearance is the one of the biggest enemies to desire and pleasure. It’s difficult to believe that someone else will find pleasure in your body when you’re struggling.
Again, this is about communication with your sexual partner.
Identify those vulnerabilities and talk about them. If you feel that you can’t talk about them, then you may need to address them in other ways. Self-doubt is one of the biggest pleasure killers around.
Discomfort around previous sexual experiences.
Sex is an incredibly vulnerable moment.
And when someone has broken that trust before, it can set in motion a chain reaction of feelings, and thoughts and can be quite triggering in some situations.
Whether you’re navigating through previous trauma, or if you’re worried about your level of sexual experience in comparison to your partner. These thoughts and feelings will usually creep up before, during or even after sex making enjoyment quite difficult.
Communicating with your partner about your concerns, or seeking professional help when it comes to trauma or abuse is one way of moving a step forward.
You’re not comfortable around your partner
Sex involves a multitude of layers around intimacy. If you’re not able to be fully comfortable with your sexual partner, then chances are you’re going to have a hard time enjoying the experience.
This may involve sitting down with your partner, and telling them what’s going on, or seeking professional help.
You have a shame, stigma or fear about your sexual needs, wants or kinks.
I mentioned a little earlier that sex doesn’t necessarily have to involve intercourse.
Sex and sexuality exists on a wide, far reaching spectrum and every individual person has different needs, wants, kinks and even desires. Opening up to your sexual partner creates a certain vulnerability, and it can be intimidating.
Especially when it involves kink.
Ultimately, the advice is pretty straight forward.
If it’s about a need, kink or sexual want that you can’t live without then you need to tell your partner or find someone that you can tell.
Bottling up a safe, sane and consensual sexual need or kink is going to do you more harm than good. Because ultimately, you’ll continually find yourself being sexually dissatisfied causing both yourself, and your partner frustration and confusion.
Honesty, openness and freedom is paramount to this one.
You’re on medication that profoundly impacts your sex drive.
Depression medication can kill your sex drive as well as a variety of over the counter medications.
If you’re on prescription medication and experiencing a drop in your sex drive, it might be worth speaking to your medical professional about that.
Especially when it comes to antidepressants, there are a range of different options that you may be able to use.
You have a medical condition that makes sex painful.
This can be quite common and can very quickly put a stop to the enjoyment of sex. There are a variety of medical conditions that can cause pain, dryness or even irritation after sexual intercourse.
This might include skin conditions, autoimmune disorders, excess nerves, endometriosis and vaginismus. Men might also experience this with an overly curved dick, foreskin issues and anal fissures.
This list is not exhaustive, and if you do not know why you are experiencing pain – see your doctor to find some answers.
When you anticipate pain during or after intercourse, your body’s natural response will be to ignore arousal.
You may be trying to use positions that just don’t work for you
Experiencing pain or discomfort and this might not always be a medical condition.
Sometimes, a position just might not work for you due to your partners size, or penile curvature.
Dr Ingber, MD, a Board-certified in Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at the Center for Specialized Women’s Health makes the following suggestion.
If you’ve seen a medical professional and still don’t have a clear answer – then it might be wise to try different positions, lubricant, or even use toys to try and overcome the issue.
You’re not prioritizing sleeping, eating well or exercise.
There’s a connection between physical, mental, emotional, and sexual health.
If you’re neglecting on of those pillars, you might find the others crumble a little bit. It’s important to take care of these pillars as trying to engage with sex when your body, brain or emotions aren’t quite aligned can be quite difficult and even stressful.
Rest up before playing.
Drinking too little water
Fun Fact, dehydration can not only lower your libido, but it can actually make sex painful.
Not drinking enough water can cause headaches, fatigue, and irritability which will absolutely hinder you getting in the mood. Lack of water can also create dry irritated skin which can potentially lead to pain during sex.
There’s also studies out there which have linked dehydration to erectile dysfunction. So make sure to keep your water intake steady.
Stress
An absolute buzzkill.
Worrying about finances, life, work, family, partners, car repairs and a multitude of other worries will kill your sex life. Mental energy plays an important role during the enjoyment of sex, and it can be easily distracted.
If it’s paying attention to other things as opposed to your own body and pleasure, you’ll quickly find yourself not in the moment.
And definitely not enjoying yourself.
As you can see – there’s a variety of reasons that your libido might be low and some of these are the best sex secrets.
It’s important to address medical concerns as quickly as possible, be open and honest with your partner and self about these issues.
Acknowledgement, honesty and openness are the first steps to reclaiming your sex life, your own pleasure.
Until next time. . .

It’s a big statement, but I can’t honestly think of any reason why people wouldn’t use sex toys in their sex lives!
Placing absolute faith in your sexual satisfaction in your partner is both admirable and sweet. It is also highly unrealistic and can cause undue stress because of expectations to perform or enjoy.

There is a name for this and it’s called post-coital tristesse (PCT).
It originates from the Latin expression post-coital and the French word tristesse. It truly signifies “trouble”. Many individuals who experience PCT will encounter distress, tension, or uneasiness before or after after sex. Often lasts more than 2 hours after.

Understanding the Biological Basis of Our Emotions
Love is one of the most powerful emotions we experience as humans. It is difficult for anyone to defince Science of Love. It’s a feeling that can be so intense that it can make us feel like we’re on top of the world. Or it can leave us feeling shattered and broken. We all crave to experience the feeling of being in love.
Have you ever wondered what happens in our brains and bodies when we fall in love?
What is the biology behind the emotion that has been the inspiration for countless poems, songs, and novels? Let’s delve into the fascinating world of the science of love. Explore the latest research on what happens in our brains and bodies when we fall in love.
The Biological Basis of Love
Love is not just an abstract concept or a social construct. It is complex biological phenomenon with a deep-rooted evolutionary history.
From an evolutionary perspective, the primary function of love is to help us form strong bonds with a partner. This ensures survival and success of our species. This is not limited to reproduction. It involves a complex interplay of neurotransmitters and hormones in our brain and body.
Love and the Brain: The Role of Neurotransmitters
When we fall in love, our brain releases a cocktail of neurotransmitters that can have a profound impact on our emotional state.
One of the most important neurotransmitters involved in love is dopamine. Dopamine is often referred to as the “pleasure hormone” . It’s associated with feelings of pleasure and reward. When we fall in love, our brain releases dopamine. This makes us feel happy and motivated to pursue the person we’re in love with.
Another neurotransmitter involved in love is serotonin. Serotonin is often associated with feelings of happiness and well-being. It plays a crucial role in regulating our mood. Our brain releases serotonin, which can make us feel calm and content in the presence of our partner.
Finally, the neurotransmitter norepinephrine is also involved in love. Norepinephrine is often associated with the “fight or flight” response. It can make us feel anxious and nervous. When we fall in love, our brain releases norepinephrine. This can make us feel jittery and excited in the presence of our partner.
The Role of Hormones in Love
Hormones also play a crucial role in love. One of the most important hormones involved in love is oxytocin. Oxytocin is often referred to as the “love hormone”. It’s associated with feelings of closeness and intimacy.
When we fall in love, our brain releases oxytocin, which can make us feel deeply connected to our partner.
Another hormone involved in love is testosterone.
Testosterone is often associated with aggression and dominance, but it also plays a crucial role in our sex drive. Our testosterone levels increase, which can make us feel more sexually attracted to our partner.
Finally, cortisol is also involved in love. Cortisol is often referred to as the “stress hormone”. It’s associated with feelings of stress and anxiety. When we fall in love, our cortisol levels can increase. This makes us feel anxious and nervous about the future of our relationship.
The Psychology of Love: Attachment Styles
Our experience of love is significantly impacted by our psychology. Our attachment style is determined by the relationships we had with our caregivers as children.
There are four main attachment styles.
-
Secure
Characterized by a positive perception of oneself and others.
-
Anxious-preoccupied
An anxious-preoccupied attachment style, on the other hand, is characterized by a negative self-view and a positive perception of others
-
Dismissive-avoidant
This is marked by a positive self-perception and a negative perception of others.
-
Fearful-avoidant.
A fearful-avoidant attachment style is defined by a negative perception of both self and others.
The Impact of Early Life Experiences on Love
Our early life experiences can also have a profound impact on how we experience love as adults. Research suggests that individuals who experienced insecure attachment in childhood are more likely to have difficulties forming and maintaining healthy relationships in adulthood.
In addition, individuals who experienced trauma or abuse in childhood may also have difficulties forming healthy relationships.

It’s important to note that our early life experiences don’t have to dictate our future.
With the help of therapy and self-reflection, we can work through our past traumas and develop the skills we need to form healthy relationships.
The Science of Heartbreak
Falling in love can be an incredible experience. But the end of a relationship can be devastating. Science of heartbreak suggests that the emotional pain we experience after a breakup is not just in our heads. It has physical basis as well.
When we experience heartbreak, our brain releases cortisol. This makes us feel stressed and anxious. In addition, our brain also releases opioids, which are associated with feelings of pleasure and reward. It can create an addictive cycle.
We crave the person who broke our heart. Even though they may not be good for us.
Love at Different Stages of Life
Love is not just limited to young adults. In fact, love can be experienced at any stage of life, from adolescence to old age. The way we experience love may change as we age.
Research suggests that older adults may be more likely to value companionship and emotional intimacy over physical attraction. Also older adults may also have different priorities when it comes to relationships like financial stability.
The Future of Love: Technology and Relationships
Finally, the future of love is also being shaped by technology. With the rise of dating apps and social media, the way we form and maintain relationships is changing.
Technology can make it easier to connect with others. It can also create new challenges and complexities.
Research suggests that the “paradox of choice” can make it harder to form meaningful relationships in the digital age. With so many options available, it can be difficult to commit to one person and invest in a relationship.
The Importance of Understanding the Science of Love
Science of love is a complex and fascinating topic. It has the potential to teach us a great deal about ourselves and our relationships.
By understanding the biological and psychological mechanisms behind love, we can gain insights into how our bodies and minds work. We can better navigate the ups and downs of romantic relationships.
Whether experiencing the thrill of falling in love, the pain of heartbreak, or the comfort of a long-term relationship, the science of love can help us make sense of our emotions and experiences.
By embracing the science of love, we can cultivate deeper connections with ourselves. We can create more fulfilling and meaningful relationships.
